I love calendars and surprises, so it was a no-brainer for me to riff on the advent calendar as Winter Solstice approached.

Yuletide is a delicious swath of the holiday season centered on the Winter Solstice with no precise calendar dates other than generally mid-November or early December to sometimes in January. Like Mother Nature, the Yuletide refuses to be defined by hard lines, preferring to come and go, like the tide, by the waxing and waning of sunlight.

I took a long winter walk to the shortest of days with daily discoveries to spread peace. While the walk may be over, you can still retrace my steps. These are great gifts to give all throughout the year or savor a few for yourself.
